From the recipe box of Betty Moon

12 oz. beer
3 T. sugar
3 c. self-rising flour

Warm beer for 1 minute in microwave. Stir in sugar and flour. Place in greased loaf pan and bake at 350° for approximately 1 hour. For crusty crust, cool uncovered. For softer crust, wrap in foil after about 3 minutes of cooling on rack.
